El Tortoni

The most famous cafe of Buenos Aires and the only one where you have to queue on afternoons.

Vienna Kaffeehaus-atmosphere on the other side of the Atlantic.
In spite of the tourist boom prices are still reasonble.

La Ideal

Built around 1880 and designed as a cafeteria from the start the Confiteria Ideal is the best originally preserved cafe in Buenos Aires.Here time stood still.The second floor is reserved to the art of Tango.
One of our favorite places in Buenos Aires and just one block away from our Lavalle apartment.

Petit Colón

In the Petit Colon judges and employees of the law agencies of the near by Tribunales court have there coffee or drinks.

From our Lavalle apartment it is only 4 blocks away,but you have to cross the 9 de Julio avenue with its heavy traffic.Here you get the typical argentinian light meals in excellent quality.
