Restaurants

Few cities of the world offer the culinary diversity and exceptional cuisine of Buenos Aires, while at a fractional cost of European and North American restaurants. Premium Argentinean wines and aperitifs are regarded as the finest available and there exists no higher quality steak than “ojo de bife”.

We would like to recommend some preferred restaurants that have become favorites of ours throughout the years. All establishments are within a leisurely walk or short ride of our apartment accommodations and will become an exciting destination for you. Not only will the menus tantalize your palate but you will be delighted by their authentic ambiance and congenial character.

Mention your association with “Buenos Aires de Luxe” and you will receive the special attention due a dignitary as well as a complimentary beverage of your choice. “Bon appetite,,,enjoy!“

If you are looking for a traditional local restaurant that has been operating from its original location since the 1920’s don’t overlook the “Chiquilin”. Within a ten minute walk from our apartments in the Avenida de Mayo and Lavelle you might find famous Tango musicians, professional soccer players, actors and international VIPs.

Just two blocks from our Avenida de Mayo 1, and three blocks from Avenida de Mayo 2 on the corner of Salta and Hipolito Yrigoyen street there is a cozy yet very traditional restaurant famous for their Spanish and Porteno fare. The 1908 Art Nouveau façade of the building has survived the ravages of time and welcomes you with double entrances, a vestibule and vitreaus.

One of the finest restaurants of the Microcentro is only half a block from our Lavalle apartment facility. It is housed in a one hundred fifty year old historic building and decorated as its own style dictates. As a guest of “Buenos Aires de Luxe” you will receive a five percent discount at the “Almacen Suipacha” restaurant.

The Avenida de Mayo had always been considered the “truly Spanish” avenue of Buenos Aires. This is exemplified by the proliferation of restaurants dedicated to authentic Spanish menus and sumptuous local cuisine. The finest example “Museo del Jamon” or ham museum is located at the corner of Rivadavia / Cerrito only a half block from the Avenida de Mayo on the 9 de Julio avenue.

Among our selected restaurants we could hardly omit a traditional Parilla. One of the best in all of Argentina is within 5 minutes walking time from our art deco apartment on Paraguay street.
